Draft a note about a named client's immigration or health situation
Feels like a faster way to write letters or referrals, but immigration and health details can put a person at real risk.
Don't paste this into an AI tool — Immigration status and health information are among the most sensitive details a client can share and should stay out of general AI tools.
A safer way: Ask the AI for a referral or support-letter template with placeholders, then add the client's real details yourself in your secure system, with their consent.
Please note: This site is only a guide to help people understand. Consult your IT, security and/or privacy department for clarification.
Before you start, gather
Describe [TYPE OF HELP] in general terms, such as a housing or legal referral. Afterward, check the template against your blank consent form. Never put a client's name, status or health details in the prompt.
Starter prompt
Write a template for a support or referral letter for a client of [ORGANIZATION NAME] who needs [TYPE OF HELP]. Use placeholders like [CLIENT ID] and [REASON FOR REFERRAL]. Leave the reasons and details as blanks, and write MISSING INFO instead of guessing any specifics. Do not ask me for a client's name, immigration status or health details.
Check the result
Confirm the template follows your privacy and consent rules, and that the client agreed to what you share and with whom.
What it might get wrong
Letter wording that implies a diagnosis, status or eligibility outcome, or promises what an agency will do. Once someone fills in the template, it reads as a statement about a real person.
