Program design and client services
Explain a public benefit program in client-friendly words
Turns confusing government rules into steps people can follow.
Lower risk: public info only — Use official public guidance, not any person's case.
Please note: This site is only a guide to help people understand. Consult your IT, security and/or privacy department for clarification.
Before you start, gather
Paste [PASTE PUBLIC PROGRAM TEXT] from the agency's current official program page and note the date you copied it. Name the program exactly as the agency does in [PUBLIC BENEFIT PROGRAM].
Starter prompt
Explain [PUBLIC BENEFIT PROGRAM] to our clients in plain language at a 6th-grade reading level. Use this official description: [PASTE PUBLIC PROGRAM TEXT]. Cover who may qualify, how to apply, what documents to gather, and common mistakes. Do not tell anyone whether they qualify; direct them to the agency or a staff member. Add that rules change and people should confirm with the official agency. Use only the official text I paste; if it does not cover a point, write MISSING INFO instead of guessing.
Paste the prompt into your AI tool first, then replace the placeholders with your own details. Don't use real names of clients or donors.
Open an AI tool
You are leaving this guide. Copy the prompt first, then open a tool. The link goes to the website of the company named on each link, in a new tab. That company's terms and privacy policy apply there. Paste the prompt in, then replace the placeholders with your own details. Don't enter real names or confidential details.

Check the result
Compare against the official agency page and have a knowledgeable staff member verify, since eligibility rules change and vary by place.
What it might get wrong
Dollar amounts, income limits, deadlines or document lists that sound right but come from an older or different place's rules. Common mistakes that were never in the official text.
