Draft a coalition partnership proposal

Helps you invite other groups to join forces with a clear, fair proposal.

Lower risk: public info only — Describe your goals; leave out confidential strategy.

Please note: This site is only a guide to help people understand. Consult your IT, security and/or privacy department for clarification.

Before you start, gather

List [PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS] by name from groups you have already spoken with. State [ISSUE] in one sentence. Afterward, check with your leadership what each partner can commit to.

Starter prompt

Write a short proposal inviting [PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS] to form a coalition with [ORGANIZATION NAME] on [ISSUE]. Include the shared goal, what each partner contributes, how decisions will be made, time commitment, how credit is shared and the first three steps. Collaborative, respectful tone. Promise nothing on behalf of any partner and add no funding figures I did not give; mark those spots MISSING INFO instead of guessing.

Paste the prompt into your AI tool first, then replace the placeholders with your own details. Don't use real names of clients or donors.

Open an AI tool

You are leaving this guide. Copy the prompt first, then open a tool. The link goes to the website of the company named on each link, in a new tab. That company's terms and privacy policy apply there. Paste the prompt in, then replace the placeholders with your own details. Don't enter real names or confidential details.

Check the result

Share it with your leadership first and make sure commitments match what you can deliver.

What it might get wrong

Contributions, funding shares or time commitments you never agreed to. Claims about what a partner has done or believes. A decision process described as settled when it is not.
